It's been two years now since the people of Hann Münden had the chance to really celebrate - for charity, of course.
Due to Corona, the festival in the 3 Rivers City "Beats for Hospice" had to be cancelled in 2020 - but this year the green island of "Doktorwerder" is once again living up to its name.
Beats for Hospice - as the name suggests - supports the hospice of the city of Hann.Münden with its entrance fees. The health and nursing care insurance funds cover 95% of the costs incurred for a hospice stay. Each hospice is legally obliged to raise the difference of 5% for the daily rate of need of each hospice guest from its own funds. We are talking about an annual sum of 100,000€ - a demanding task.
Jutta Nickel is responsible for soliciting donations and public relations. For example, donations amounting to €18,000 were collected at the "Beats for Hospice 2019" - thanks to the donors from Münden - in order to install air-conditioning systems in the hospice rooms.
Our association "Dentists and Patients Help Children in Need" was keen to support the hospice.
Association member Thomas "Stolle" Stolkmann and his band were able to make a significant contribution to this. The musicians waived their fee for the benefit of the hospice in 2019.
The association team was also able to help collect donations.
Because death knows no age. Often children and young people in particular get into social distress due to the loss of a parent.
People die in a hospice. So let's give them the dignity they deserve. A big thank you at this point to all the loving staff and volunteers who accompany people on their final journey..
This year`s „Beats for Hospiz“ will take place as usual on the Doktorwerder in Hann.Münden and will even be open for a whole week..
From 9.7. – 17.7.2021 people can dance, laugh and donate again - for the benefit of the hospice.
The entrance fees of the week, amounting to 2€, all end up in the donation pot..
