New free counseling center for violence, bullying and drug abuse starts in downtown Kassel!

Minister of Justice Eva Kühne-Hörmann assumes patronage for another project by Thomas "Stolle" Stolkmann.

The New Free Counseling Center for Violence, Bullying and Substance Abuse in downtown Kassel, headed by Thomas „Stolle“ Stolkmann has been launched. Since November 2021, "Stolle" has been offering help and counseling services free of charge and without complications to all citizens at Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse 33, 34117 Kassel.

Especially during the pandemic, the counseling center is an important addition to the services offered by the Kassel musician and bearer of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, who cannot offer his prevention work in school classes as usual for reasons of infection protection. At the same time, the offer is thus made accessible to a wider circle of people outside of school classes.

"Stolle" Stolkmann said: "People who find themselves in a difficult situation should also receive help during the pandemic. It is against this background that the idea of opening an office in downtown Kassel was born, to which all people can turn for help in the areas of violence, bullying and drug abuse. I'm looking forward to now being able to provide uncomplicated advice and support to a larger group of people."

The project is under the patronage of the Minister of Justice of the State of Hesse Eva Kühne-Hörmann took over. She said: "It is a special pleasure but also a special concern for me to support the great work of "Stolle". Violence, bullying and drug abuse concern us all. Prevention work in this area is an important building block for the well-being of citizens and can ensure that there are fewer cases and thus fewer victims."

The project came about as part of the cooperation between the sponsor of the measure, the association "Zahnärzte und Patienten helfen Kindern in Not e.V." (Dentists and Patients Help Children in Need). (ZHP), ImmoVito GmbH, Starke + Reichert GmbH und Co. KG, and Netzwerk Nordhessen. Further cooperation partners will follow.

The support association "Zahnärzte und Patienten helfen Kindern in Not e.V." (Dentists and Patients Help Children in Need) has been the sponsor of the project against violence, bullying and drug abuse in schools for over 16 years. "We are a nationally and internationally active aid organization that has been involved in more than 2,500 projects for children and adolescents in need for health or social reasons for more than 30 years," said chairwoman Birgit Bode, who went on to say, "Great thanks are due to Corinna Schwiegerwhich is an important partner for the ZHP with the Careleaver e.V. association. (www.careleaver.de) is an important partner. Care Leavers are young people who have grown up in residential groups, homes and foster families. We also thank our Minister of Justice, Eva Kühne-Hörmann, who has taken on the patronage of the project against violence, bullying and drug abuse and stands by us for the good of the people."

The New Free Counseling Center for Victims of Violence, Bullying and Substance Abuse is open to all people with a need for conversation and counseling on the topics of violence, bullying and substance abuse. Counseling appointments with "Stolle" can be made by calling the number 0157 – 51 61 88 15 be agreed upon. The "3 G rule" applies to access to the office.
